Hi, I’m Jack
Ocean enthusiast and aficionado in all things electrification.
I’ve been sailing for over 20 years and know first hand how much time is consumed maintaining a diesel engine. I converted my Passport 42 with our G22 motor system and put it through its paces. The conversion was completed by my wife and I in Mexico. From there we cruised the Sea of Cortez successfully under 100% electric power. It was then off to French Polynesia to complete our route back to Washington State. Having the reliability of the G22 motor and the power capacity of the 33kWh bank using the Powerflow Marine batteries increased our capabilities to travel with a low impact while exceeding our expectations.
It’s now our mission to ensure every sailor has the opportunity to experience the same ease that we did.

My time spent as a trained BMW technician highlighted the inefficiencies and wastefulness of internal combustion engines, fueling my passion for creating long-lasting solutions in the marine industry. During my time at sea, I’ve observed various boat traits, common running issues faced by boat owners, and the habits of many different sailors. It became clear that what my sailing community needed: electric propulsion systems and a team you can count on.

My wife and I are licensed Captains with the U.S. Coast Guard and complete deliveries for boats anywhere on the West coast of North America. We also founded a boat maintenance and consulting business, Spirit Marine Services. We’ve sailed thousands of times and fully embrace life on the water. We know first hand what it takes to have a successful journey on the water and we’re here to help.
